More Brick

Here are some pics from the excitement that has happening.. the first set was taken on 10.24 and the second set was taken 10.27.. they are completely done with the brick now.. and we are getting the insulation done right now and the porches, steps and turnaround for drive way should be poured this week we hope...YAH!

Brick.... HOUSE

Yep, we got some brick on finally.. ( i say finally like it has been a long time?? really doesnt seem like it!) They started Wed/Thurs. and I may post some additional pics tonight because they were able to get alot more done over the weekend.. We are hoping for some rain so we can see how the roof does and then the dry wall will come and possibly the porches will be poured and the front doors might be delivered.. Things are moving right along.. I went and tried to start picking out my floors too this week (whew! )

Oh and on a less exciting but totally ness. note.. we got our septic tank and water line dug. Carter and I went out one night and he was sooo excited to see the mini loader, excavator and dump truck there working... Here are some pics of him standing at the tip top of a big rock pile and then here he is playing in Clint's much coveted crawl space under our house.. He is in the envy of his friends because he doesnt have to crawl in the crawl space..

What a difference a week makes

As you can see... yep, we have a roof!!! AND.. windows... yep that is right.. How cool is that? We should start seeing them come and do the brick and stone on the house THIS coming week!! Whoo! Hooo! It must be because they hired a really cute little worker that knows what to do with a wheelbarrow!! :) We met with the electricians today (in all my spare time with Carter's party this afternoon) and they were still working tonight getting all of the wiring run for the sheet rock guys to come next week as well. Progress is a good thing, ya'll! Hard to believe that on 8/30 just a little over a month ago nothing was even there on the land! God is good!

The Roof, the Roof the Roof is 'bout to get shingles!

Check this out ya'll! We are getting the roof up- as of 10.10... Pretty exciting. I also am attaching some photos of the inside too.. it is really starting to take shape. Very exciting!! One of the fireplace... steps going in from the garage... and just a view from the kitchen..

YAH!!!

looking good right?? We are picking the shingle tomorrow morning and so they might be able to get shingles on the roof started this weekend! They have more things framed out on the inside... more to come- YAH!

And we have a roof framed!! Check out thebonus room that was added above the garage!!! They think they will be done with framing the roof this week... among other things...

Here is a view from the back of the house... and a close up of the back covered porch...

Here is Carter just a little excited about his new room...

Exciting stuff!

This has been a busy week in more ways than one! As you can see they have started on the bonus room and the roof... We have our garage poured already... You can see the side of the house where the garage is.. that will be our bedroom! YAH! It is really neat to go in and actually be able to tell which room is which..

This is a view from the back... the room with the big cut out is Carter's room and the one with the 2 windows is our bedroom. Hopefully we will get out there tomorrow as well.

It is coming right along! We should be finished framing the roof next week.
