One of Carter's favorite songs to sing is Love Lifted Me... he sings it all of the time- so sweet! He was singing it all of the way home from church tonight and just thought I would try and capture it here.. of course he added the middle part in.. which makes it even funnier! enjoy!

Vacation Memories

Not Sure Who Is Happier

We took Carter out on the boat for the first time this summer a couple nights ago, and I am not sure who was happier about it- Clint or Carter?? Carter LOVED it! Clint let him drive and he drove the boat alot and was pretty good at it... (except when he popped it out of gear by turning it off)

He kept telling us "I drive boat, mommy!"

Trains part II

Well... we broke down and got a train table finally, and it came with all sorts of fun stuff... bridges and tunnels and even a train station. As you can see Carter was thrilled with this!!

It is really, really hard to drag him away and tell the trains bye bye when he has to leave them.

He loves trains and it made Clint and I happy to have gotten him something that he was so - overjoyed to have. So here are a couple of pictures of him playing with the train table and a little video too!

First Train ride!!

If anyone knows Carter very well, you know that he is very excited about all things Thomas the Train right now. Here are a couple of pictures of our recent trip on the Music City Star from Mt Juliet to downtown Nashville... The first picture is of Carter waiting at the train station - he wasn't so sure about the train... but as you can see from these pics he warmed up quick... The next day he got up still talking about "mama, Carter ride train" today he said "Mama, Carter ride train, again!" So I am guessing we will be taking more train rides soon!! We also had our first carriage ride through downtown Nashville (we had to kill some time) and the horse's name was Thomas that we rode on!! Carter had many firsts this weekend! Lots of fun!!!

Mozart

So my mom pulled out the piano I used to play when I was
a kid and Carter has enjoyed playing on it.. a future Mozart
in the making!! He calls the keys "buttons" and if you can't
"name that tune" he is singing- it is the Elmo's world theme!!

Mowing

Well, this year Carter has moved on from just mowing the driveway, he likes to "help daddy" mow this year. Whenever Clint gets out and mows the yard, Carter goes in the garage and gets "Carter's Mower" out to help. I am sure it won't be long until Clint let's Carter "help" by mowing the yard by himself... as soon as he is tall enough to push the mower... What a big helper he is!

Zoo!!!

Easter this yr. We went to an egg hunt where he wanted to hunt "red eggs"- but he managed to hunt other colors other than red...

You can see his Easter basket.. the Easter Bunny brought him some Seasame St. characters and a new Thomas the train friend James... and a new book!

My Favorite Hat!

Ok, so Carter has found a new hat tonight... he ran out of the bathtub saying... "hat, hat" and look what "hat" he is wearing.. it is his potty seat!!! Yeah, not so much used for pottying these days as much as for other things... We will get there I am sure.. he likes to sit on the "elmo seat" as he likes to call it... but just not for pottying... Hopefully Clint won't learn this trick! haha..

Bigger and Bigger Every Day!

Here is a recent pic of Carter in the "car, car". He is really fun right now... He is really into saying bye,bye to everything.. when we leave the driveway he says "bye,bye house!" when he leaves in the morning he says 'bye, bye trucks" or "bye, bye songs!" He is really into singing songs now- loves to sing songs at church. Thank goodness he still loves to give kisses and hugs- those are priceless!!!

It has begun!

Well, here is a picture of Carter standing beside our for sale sign that is now firmly in the ground in our front yard... We just trust God that all of this "stuff" that is about to happen is going to go well. It is all in His hands now.

Carter loves to count and has been counting since he was 18mo. or so.. but now, he counts everywhere!!! He will be sitting in the backseat and will count to ten.. but lately he has been leaving out #6... not sure what is up with that... now we will start working on 11-20!!!
